Mini Tide Pool on an Algae Covered Rock on a Pacific Ocean beach

Mini Tide Pool Drakes Beach

That’s quite the mouthful, isn’t it? But I’m not sure how else to describe this view from Drake’s Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore. My feet got soaking wet from the incoming waves, but not before taking hundreds of photos of the area. This picture involved climbing on top of the slippery algae covered boulder to get a shot of the water that the ocean left behind in a tide pool.

Point Reyes is both rugged and beautiful. So close to civilization, well preserved, perfect in its own way.
